Initial research
My three ideas that I
have chosen is homeless youth, women trafficking and an increase in size.
Teenagers facing the streets- homeless
There are many issues
that the world is facing and the rise in homeless youth is defiantly one of
them. More and more and more teenagers are being put onto the streets because
they simply cant live at home because they don’t feel safe and because of other
difficult issues. In my primarily research I looked at articles on the issue
but also organisation that help youth in London. If I was to document this
issue I would go to these organisations and look what the organisation is
doing, maybe interview some of the youth and ask about their background and
past that led them to where they are now.
If I was to go further
with this idea I would use interviews, interview those who have or are
affected, those of organisations to help this issue, opinions of the public to
see if they think there is a rise in this issue and to find out why they think
there are more teens living on the street, archive footage, statistic to show
the rise in homeless youth.
The purpose of the documentary would be for the audience to take action on the issue, but also to raise awareness.

Women trafficking
The article that I
looked at reveals that around 50 Hungarian women were forced into prostitution.
It was reported that they were set up in hotels, student accommodation and even
suburban homes and were sexual exploited. Seeing that some of the trafficking happened
in Croydon, I could investigate perhaps which café maybe, I could ask some
people if they are aware of this news and their opinions on it. In addition I would
use news reports, archieve footage, opinions, interviews and other possible
conventions to really understand and document this issue.
The purpose of the documentary would be for my documentary to bring awareness, i would want the audience to be aware of what is happening so maybe it wouldn't happen to them. And also so that they spread the issue to others that they know.

Size
Size
Size has been increasing over the years, and from the
looks of things shall continue too. The article that I looked at for my
primarily research discusses how drastically the population in London has been
diagnosed with obesity. It shows that not only adults are growing in size be so
are children, it has been reported that the percentage children aged 2-15 who
are obese and overweight has risen. Although there has been a decrease in
overweight and obese children from 2004 levels, we can still see that the
percentages are higher than in 1995.
Seeing that size seems to be becoming a huge deal,
that even it is being broadcasted on the news for the public to do something
about. I think this could be a good topic to look at and to document. I could
look at those who this is affecting, I could see what the general public think
about the topic and whether they think it’s a huge issue to look at or if the
size of the population will continue to increase as the years go on. If furthering
this idea I would use news reports, opinions and interviews to document this
issue.
the action that my documentary would encourage is for people to take action, and perhaps slim down and see what the fast food is doing to their health. i would want my documentary to encourage those to see that eating healthy, and slimming down will better their health.

Excellent evidence of research. Some of this could also be used when further reserarching and planning out your ideas for your documentary.
