The Chase
For the chase task we had to create a small film sequence of 30 seconds to 1 minutes, that created suspense and leaded up t a tense moment. The people who i was working with was Cynthia Ankunda and Sabrina Yaaqub. The storyline of the chase film sequence, was about two girls one who was dark and and twisted and one was innocent, nice and the girl next door type. Te dark girl is very obsessed and jealous of the girl for just being the way she is, in the end she breaks into the girls home and kills the girl in her sleep. we picked this storyline because it gave us a chance to make so many scenes tense. Although we worked as a group we all had our individual roles that we played, Sabrina played the role of the camera women so she was in charge of the types of shots she took, such as close ups and long shots. Cynthia played the role of the dark girl and my role was to play the part of the innocent girl. we picked these roles because we felt it suited us.
There were a wide range of aspects in the film sequence went extremely well. one thing that i think went well were the camera angles and shot, we used a variety of shots such as close up we used this to show the characters facial expressions. We also used long shot to give the audience a sense of the environment the character was in. Furthermore we also used high angles, to show that the dark girl had a lot of power but also because it showed a dark side of her. Another thing that went well were the characters that me and Cynthia were playing. I felt as if we really portrayed our characters well which contributed to the storyline. Another thing that went well was the editing the music and sound effects used added to the storyline making it more effective. In addition another thing that went well was we manage to film the sequence quick and at one time meaning we could get straight to editing.
In my opinion there wasn't anything that didn't go right in the. film sequence, i felt as if everything went extremely well.
