The lift
Impressions
my first impressions of the documentary was i didn't understand the point of the documentary, i didn't understand what the director was aiming to achieve by recording people in the lift. But as the documentary went on i stated to have a better understanding, the point of the documentary was to get a feel for the people who lived in the building that was going to be shut down and their initial opinions of questions he would ask. When confronted with the target and attended audience, i didn't have much of an idea of who the audience was for the film. For age i thought that the documentary would be aimed at more of ann older audience due to the fact that the documentary focuses on more of an older audience, but also because their weren't many features in the documentary that would appeal to a younger audience. For the gender of the audience i thought that the documentary didn't have a set gender to the audience, i think it was aimed at both the male and female audience, because the director asked or interviewed people of both genders in the documentary. For the ethnicity of the audience i thought that the documentary didn't have a specific ethnicity that it would appeal to simply because their were no aspects in the documentary that gave any relations to a specify or particular ethnicity. And lastly for the interest of the audience i thought that some interest that the audience may have, are those who maybe take a particular interest in reading newspapers or maybe people who enjoy documentaries.
An interesting viewpoint Isabella that demonstrates an attempt to engage with the documentary.
